Some of them had a direct experience with the struggle of being addicted to harmful behaviors and substances themselves, while others suffered the tragedy of addiction through having to helplessly sit by and watch a loved one go through it. While other team members know the importance of getting the family help that is needed because they were raised in homes where one or both of their parents were self destructing through addictions.
